INTELLEDOX JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT SMARTER, NOW THE POSSIBILITIES ARE INFINITE

2 October 2012 – Canberra, Australia – Intelledox today announced the latest release of their leading document generation and smart e-forms solution, now called infiniti.

“We’ve thought long and hard about this product release and its new naming convention,” said Phillip Williamson CEO, Intelledox. “After much deliberation, we implemented a name change that represents the unlimited potential for our customers to achieve business process improvement outcomes.”

Taking the Intelledox-developed solution set to the next level, infiniti offers over 80 new features with significant advances in efficiency and usability. A refreshed user interface makes the automation of business-centric processes both logical and faster for business managers and information workers. Business users and citizens experience a streamlined, nurturing and rich online experience that increases productivity and accuracy; drives compliance and continual improvement; enables device independence and mobility; and improves total stakeholder satisfaction.

infiniti is powered by a sophisticated rules engine that drives true automation into business processes. Some of the exciting new features include:

Linear document creation workflow – known as ‘infiniti Automate’

Dynamic, smart web forms (e-forms) – now even more accessible through mobile device rendering (iPads, iPhones, Windows devices)

Enhanced document and data routing functionalities

Out-of-the-box connectors to applications such as HP TRIM, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, BizTalk, Changepoint, TIBCO, Siebel and SAP

Even more foreign language support, including Arabic and Mandarin

Fully cloud-based offering on-demand

“We have developed true next-generation software with infiniti. Deploying this out-of-the-box software requires minimal technical knowledge to operate and support, and most certainly no programming” continued Mr. Williamson. “There are over a trillion documents generated annually around the world, and in the near future most will be generated by intelligent software – as documents or more often as electronic output. infiniti will accelerate the transfer of legacy hard copy and paper-heavy processes into the digital and mobile age.”

The release of infiniti also marks the sustained success of Intelledox in global markets as the company continues to grow at over 50% per annum.

About Intelledox

Goes, 16 oktober 2012

Originally posted on http://www.mssharepoint2013.com

In this blogpost I want you to guide you trough the installation process of SharePoint 2013 preview, as it is released 16 July 2012. I simply execute this installation on our test rig running on Windows server 2008 and a seperate SQL Server 2008 server as database. First priority is to get the thing up and running, so we can start our functional tests, and blog also about the business and functional site of SharePoint 2013.

First of all you had to download the image of SharePoint at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/hh973397.aspx?wt.mc_id=TEC_121_1_33 and connect the image to your virtual machine (I am expecting you are using a virtual server). Our test rig is using VMWARE ESC technology so I upload the IMG file to our datastore, rename it to ISO and connect it to one of our test VM’s in this case TLG03. Now I have the image available as a CD drive.

First thing what attracts my attention after opening the CD drive, is the setup.exe, with the new Office logo as icon. Why not give it a try and start installation imidiatly, manuals are for other people .

When I runs the setup.exe I got setup errors, a list of pre-requisites that are not installed. “For the list of pre-requisites needed to install the product please refer to: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=230806“. I close the message

Lucky enough, deliverd with SharePoint 2013, is the prerequisiteinstaller.exe, which I will execute in order to get all the pre requisites fixed.

The tool gives me an overview of the stuff that needs to be fixed before we can install SharePoint.

Of course I need to accept the License agreement.

And then the pre requisite installer will install several missing things like the .NET framework 4.5…..

And configuring the Application Server Role…

And Finally I need to restart the complete system.

After the reboot of Windows 2008, the pre requisite installer continues to configure the application server role.

And now we have completed to install the pre requisites and hit finish to finish this installer.

Now lets try again, hitting the setup.exe to finally install SharePoint 2013…

But… for some reason we need to restart again, the pre requisite installer didn’t mention that; whatever, lets reboot again.

After reboot, let’s give it another try… hit the setup.exe button, I’m feeling lucky

Enter your license key as it was provided during download. If you lost it, go to the download page again, it will apear on the bottom of that page.

Of course, we need to accept these agreement as well.

Select the server type you want. I tick ‘Complete’ since I have a seperate server within this domain running SQL server 2008 for me. If you tick Stand-alone it will install everything at once on a single server, including an SQL Express edition. This last option is ideal if you want to run SharePoint on a single machine, just for testing reasons. Again I select Complete, the installation for Stand-alone might be slightly different.

And installation starts, let’s sit back and relax.

After the installation you can immediatly start the configuration wizard, which will configure the database and so on and so fort. You can start this configuration from the start menu as well

The configuration wizard starts with a warm welcome.

During configuration IIS will be restarted, effecting other users of this service. Do you want that yes or no?

I am doing a brand new installation, so I want to create a new server farm.

Here is where I have to configure my database. I provide the right credentials for our test database SQL server.

Providing a Passphrase for the farm. This passphrase is used to secure farm configuration data and is required for each server that joins the farm. The passphrase can be changed after the farm is configured.

I don’t want to configure Kerberos now, so I select NTLM as authentication provider

These are the settings provided, correct? Yes press next.

Now the wizard will configure your SharePoint 2013 installation, like creating configuration databases.

After a couple of minutes waiting, the confugration is finished and succesful! Let’s finish this wizard.

Central Administration will automatically pop up, and ask you if you want to participate in Microsofts Customer Experience Improvement Program. If Yes is selected, error reports will be automatically uploaded to Microsoft.

I want to configure using the wizard, and I am using a newly created service account. I created this account in AD and give it administrator rights. I leave the rest of the options default.

At least SharePoint 2013 is polite….

The we need to create a Site Collection, I made my top site a publishing portal.

Wizard is finished, all basic settings are done.

And we’ll get back at Central Administration.

And we have a Publishing Portal in SharePoint 2013 available!

If you have any questions, running into problems, please do not hesitate to contact me. We’ll keep you posted on more great stuff to come. Now we have our installation , we are going to move on, digg deep and try things for you!
